KING'S FIELD HOCKEY FACING CROSS-TOWN RIVAL WILKES IN FREEDOM CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINALS
WILKES-BARRE -- The Middle Atlantic Conferences office has formally announced the pairings, seeds, sites, and ticket prices for this week's Freedom Conference Tournament. The King's College field hockey team, as expected, will travel cross-town to face rival Wilkes University on Wednesday in the semi-finals.
The game has been slated for a 2:30 p.m. start and will be played at Wilkes' Artillery Park in Edwardsville. Artillary Park is located in adjacent to Kirby Park, behind the Kingston Armory.
Defending champion Eastern University earned the top seed with a 15-4 overall record and a 7-0 conference mark. Wilkes is seeded second after finishing the regular-season at 14-2 and 6-1. KIng's is seeded third at 9-8 and 4-3 while Delaware Valley is 10-9 and 4-3. King's received the third seed based on its head-to-head win over Delaware Valley during the season.
Ticket prices, as mandated by the MAC Office, have been set at $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for students, while children under age-six will be admitted free of charge.
