KING’S MEN’S SOCCER TRAVELING TO FACE MANHATTANVILLE WEDNESDAY IN FREEDOM CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS
WILKES-BARRE -- The Middle Atlantic Conferences office has officially released the pairings, seeds, sites, and ticket prices for this week's Freedom Conference Tournament. The King's College men’s soccer team will travel to Purchase, NY on Wednesday to face host Manhattanville College in the semi-final round.
The game has been scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start under the lights at Valiants Field.
Manhattanville earned the top seed with a 12-4-1 overall record, including a 6-0-1 Freedom Conference mark. King’s, meanwhile, is seeded fourth with a 11-6-1 record and a 3-3-1 Freedom Conference ledger. The teams met once in the regular-season with Manhattanville posting at 1-0 victory over the Monarchs at McCarthy Stadium in Wilkes-Barre.
Manhattanville is expected to provide LiveStats as well as a live video internet broadcast. Links to both will be posted on the King’s Athletics site when the game preview is posted.
The winner of the King’s-Manhattanville contest will face the survivor of the other semi-final pairing between second-seeded Misericordia and third-seeded Wilkes on Saturday at a time to be determined at the site of the highest remaining seed. The winner of the Freedom Conference championship will receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
Ticket prices, as mandated by the MAC Office, have been set at $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for students, while children under age-six will be admitted free of charge.
