Courtnay Wilson Named Freedom Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week

COURTNAY WILSON NAMED FREEDOM CONFERENCE WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE — King's College women's tennis standout Courtnay Wilson has been named the Freedom Conference “Player of the Week”, the Middle Atlantic Conferences Office announced.

Wilson helped King's to a big 5-4 win over Eastern in the Lady Monarchs' Freedom Conference opener as she was a winner in both doubles and singles. Her 8-5 win in doubles enabled King's to take a 2-1 lead heading into he singles competition.  She then posted a straight set 7-5, 6-0 win in singles to help King's clinch the victory, while also improving to 4-0 in singles this season. She is also 2-0 in doubles, totaling a combined 6-0 mark.

She has helped the Lady Monarchs post a 5-0 record thus far this season.

Wilson and her teammates will return to the court for their next home game on Sunday when the lady Monarchs host Susquehanna University at 1:00 p.m. at Kirby Park.
