KING’S SWIMMERS SWEPT BY RAMAPO IN DUAL MEET FINALS

MAHWAH, NJ – The King’s College women’s and men’s swim teams wrapped up the dual meet season with losses to host Ramapo College Thursday in Mahwah, NJ.
The Lady Monarchs were defeated by a score of 115-62 while the men fell by a 96-18 count.
Becca Smith was third in the 1,650 freestyle with a 20:11.00, while Amanda Casey was third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:25.00. Carissa Cook was second in the 100-butterfuly with a 1:12.37 while placing third in the 50-freestyle at 29.08.
Krystna Homanko was first in the 100-freestyle with a time of 1:02.65 and also in the 100-breaststroke at 1:26.90, while Maggie Nealer was second in the 200 individual medley with a 2:31.40 as well as in the 500-freestyle at 5:44.44.,
The Lady Monarchs also picked up 11 points with a first in the 200-freestyle relay team as Cook, Smith, Susie, and Stephanie Hughes swam a 2:01.18.
For the men, Eric Stencovage placed first in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:07.18 while also finishing third in the 50 freestyle with a 24.82.
King’s will now be idle until competing in the 2010 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships February 12-14 at the Wilkes-Barre C.Y.C.
