KING'S MEN'S LACROSSE TEAM  RUNNING TESTICULAR CANDER FUNDRAISER

WILKES-BARRE --  The King's College Men's Lacrosse team will be running a season long fundraising event to support the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation.  Each team member will be gathering pledges for each goal the team scores this season and all money collected will go directly to the foundation. 

Individuals or groups interested in participating in this fundraiser are asked to seek out a King's men's lacrosse team member and let them know of your interest in pledging. Interested parties may also contact Coach Andrew Orlowski at andreworlowski@kings.edu or at 570-208-5900, ext. 5351.

At the end of the season your pledges will be counted up and you will receive an email with the amount of goals scored by the team and a reminder of your pledge amount along with a link to a secure site where you can make payment directly to the foundation.  All donations are tax-deductible.

The team has distributed self-exam shower cards donated from The Sean Kimmerling Testicular Cancer Foundation to the Residence Life office to be hung in the showers of the male dorms on campus.  Throughout the year the team will be learning of this highly treatable disease in hopes that through knowledge and discussion someone will benefit from this educational program.

DID YOU KNOW?: Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men ages 15 to 40?  It also has the highest cure rates of all cancers, with a survival rate over 95 percent, if detected and treated early.
