KING'S WOMEN’S LAXERS DOWNED BY ALVERNIA, 20-3
READING – Sarah George scored four goals to power the Alvernia University women's lacrosse team to an 20-10 victory over visiting King's College in a Middle Atlantic Conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
With the win, Arcadia improved to 10-4 overall and 6-4 in the MAC while King's fell to 0-14 and 0-9 in league games.
Krystina Villarreal, Allison Gourniak and Sarah O’Doherty all scored one goal each for King’s while Stephanie Wilde notched one assist. Rebecca Abruzzese and Meg Mundy both posted two saves each in goal.
Alyssa Verillo and Tara Walls added three goals each for Alvernia. Victoria Kearn and Jenn Czarnecki both tallied two saves each in net.
The Lady Monarchs continue this road stretch as they take on Misericordia University on Tuesday for a 4:00 p.m. conference matchup.
