WILKES-BARRE -- The inaugural Diamond City Swimming Invitational, hosted by King's College and the
Catholic Youth Center, Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The event will be held Friday and Saturday in the Salie Mae Aquatics Center in the CYC.
The name of the meet is derived from the City of Wilkes-Barre's nickname – The Diamond City. The nickname was given to Wilkes-Barre years ago due its rich coal mining history. Over many years of pressure, coal will transform to diamond.
Competing Teams: Arcadia University, East Stroudsburg University (women only), Hood College, King's College, Marywood University, Misericordia University, Mt. St. Mary's (NY) College, University of Scranton.
Admission is $2.00 for adults and $1 for students with ID.
Heat sheets will be sold at $2.00 each.
