King's Wrestlers Split Pair in Virginia

KING'S WRESTLERS SPLIT PAIR IN VIRGINIA TRI-MEET

LEXINGTON, VA -- The injury-plagued King's College wrestling team split a tri-meet Saturday at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va.

The Monarchs dropped their first match 45-0 to Ferrum College before defeating 26-24 to host Washington & Lee.

King's lone wins on the mat came against Washington & Lee when Howard Kilpatrick posted a 17-0 techincal fall at 157-pounds. Robert Hehl was also a 8-1 winner at 174. King's led W&L heading into the final three bouts but the Generals gained a decision at 184, a forfeit at 197, and a fall at heavyweight to pull out the victory.
