KING'S WRESTLERS WIN DUAL MEET FINALE 22-16 OVER MUHLENBERGALLENTOWN — The King's College wrestling team closed its season with a 22-16 dual meet victory over host Muhlenberg College Saturday in Allentown.
The Monarchs won six-of-ten matches to earn the victory. After King's fell behind 13-0,
Ben Siegel began the rally as a 9-3 winner at 149.
Howard Kilpatrick followed with a 14-3 major decision at 157 before
Keith Wanamaker added a pin in 1:39. After
Angelo Lussi and
Zachary Smith added 3-0 and 3-1 decisions to give King's a 19-13 lead the match came down to the final two bouts.
Muhlenberg won a 7-5 overtime decision at 197 to trim the lead to 19-16 with one bout to go. But King's heavyweight
Ralph Bernardo pulled out a 5-3 overtime decision to seal the win.
King's will next compete in the NCAA Regional Championships March 1 in Ferrum, VA.
