KING'S WRESTLERS DROP PAIR AT PENNSYLVANIA/NEW YORK DUALS
ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- The King's College wrestling team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon at the annual Pennsylvania/New York Duals held at Clark Gymnasium on the campus on Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester.
The Monarchs fell to SUNY Oswego 33-9 in their first match before falling to RIT 36-11.
Dakota Quick and
Zach Smith each won both of their matches. Quick won a 10-3 decision at 125 over Oswego's Jack Del Duca before defeating Andrew Flanagan of RIT by a 11-2 major decision. At 174 Smith defeated Sean Maloney of Oswego by a 6-1 decision and then had a 11-8 decision over Joe Lupisella of RIT.
Ralph Bernardo won his only match of the day with a 5-2 decision over Kade Andrews of Oswego at 285.
Howard Kilpatrick went 1-1 at 165 defeating RIT's John Donohue by a 14-2 major decision and falling to Jeff Lombardi of Oswego by a 2-0 decision.
King's will return to the mat next Saturday when they travel down to Gettysburg to face Southern Virginia and Gettysburg in a tri-match.
