KING'S WRESTLERS WRAP UP DUAL MEET SEASON WITH LOSS TO SCRANTON IN CROSS COUNTY CHALLENGE FINALE
SCRANTON -- The King's College wrestling team saw its dual meet season come to end with a 39-6 loss to the host University of Scranton Saturday on the John Long Center.
With the loss, King's fell to 2-22 on the year while Scranton improved to 10-5.
King's
Dakota Quick (11-9) gave the Monarchs a 3-0 lead with a 10-4 decision at 125-pounds. After Scranton picked up a forfeit at 133, King's got a 12-6 decision from
Jake Taylor (21-9) at 141 to tie the team score at 6-6.
But the Royals swept the remaining seven bouts, getting four pins in the process to secure the victory.
King's will be idle until competing in the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships February 23-24 in Rocky Mountain, VA.
